Static or cruising - The Danny offers a unique day out for private groups, societies and coach trips.
Just Turn Up Guided Tours
Available mainly at weekends from 11-4pm during our cruising season (check timetable for dates and locations) As a guided tour experience whilst the ship is static, The Danny will reveal its history as well as the many personal stories, which will be told by the volunteers who have helped restore the boat. We ask for a donation for the guided tour if you enjoyed your visit. Please note we are not able to take people into the engine rooms.
Talk, Tour & Lunch Packages
£20 per person
We share interesting stories, footage and images of The Danny in her past life as the Chairman’s Launch playing host to a the rich and famous from all over the world in the 1930’s, as well as information on the steam ship’s engines and stories of her working life on the Manchester Ship Canal.
We also give an insight into the work needed to save the ship from being scrapped, to becoming the new North West tourist attraction following the support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Lunch can include afternoon tea or The Danny's own bowls of hearty scouse and a hot drink , for groups of 10 - 30 people.

Cruises
Our cruises are ideal for groups to come together and enjoy a day out. Email [email protected] with the dates you are interested in and the numbers in your group and we will get back to you. If you wish to make a booking, we we will then send you a booking form to complete, and we will require a deposit of £5 per person at time of booking, with the balance due two weeks before your cruise when you need to give us your final numbers.
Private Hire
The Danny is available for exclusive hire whilst we are static in Cheshire at Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge or Liverpool at the Royal Albert Dock. She offers such a unique, warm and welcoming atmosphere to your event.
Talks to Societies
We have a team of volunteer presenters who can come to your club or society to offer a talk -. We share stories, footage and images of The Danny in her past life as the Chairman’s Launch playing host to the rich and famous from all over the world in the 1930’s, as well as information on the steam ship’s engines and stories of her working life on the Manchester Ship Canal. We also give an insight into the work needed to save the ship and becoming a new tourist attraction along The North West Waterways.
We offer two talks focused on shipping history & our unique steam ship called The Daniel Adamson.You can book one, or both of the talks, which will be given by our volunteer speakers aimed at societies and groups. We will travel across the North West and further to give talks. Our main talk is on The 1903 Daniel Adamson Steam Ship, which was saved from being scrapped by volunteers, who now crew the cruising ship which boats beautiful Art Deco interiors which have a fascinating history. The ship is listed as 15th on the Register of National Historic Ships and our speakers are part of the volunteer team and can talk personally about the story of the ship’s restoration. We also offer a talk on the building of the Manchester Ship Canal with lots of original images.
