That way your car is waiting for you at the end of the cruise, or you are handy for the station. Please note that whilst our coaches have space to store a wheelchair, the vehicles themselves are not wheelchair accessible.
Please note that disembarkation from The Danny at Ellesmere Port is via a steep gangway, please bear this in mind when making your booking.
Arrive early and explore the museum before your cruise for a full day of nautical history
On this scenic four-hour cruise you will experience the best of both industrial heritage and serene countryside. Departing from our berth at 1926 built Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge, our cruise takes you along the last leg of the Weaver Navigation to Marsh Lock, where we enter the Manchester Ship Canal and cruise along the waterways to Old Quay in Runcorn, where The Danny once worked. Along the way, we’ll pass Weston Docks, still used today by coaster traffic, the iconic Runcorn Railway Bridge and Viaduct opened in 1868, and the Silver Jubilee Road Bridge - a 1961 replacement for the old transporter bridge.
Turning at Old Quay, we’ll head back to our berth at the National Waterways Museum in Ellesmere Port, arriving at our berth at approximately 16:00 hrs.
